Course Overview
The Leading and Planning Policy Change programme by Transformentors Academy is designed to help professionals develop the strategic, communication, and leadership skills required to influence policy development and drive meaningful social and organisational change.
Creating effective policy change requires more than strong ideas or advocacy. Successful policy leaders must understand policymaking systems, stakeholder dynamics, communication strategies, legal frameworks, and the practical methods used to transform policy proposals into sustainable action and measurable impact.
This practical five-day programme explores the foundations of policy change leadership, including policy planning, stakeholder engagement, advocacy strategies, communication techniques, media influence, legal and institutional processes, and change management approaches. Participants will learn how to frame policy issues effectively, build coalitions, engage decision-makers, and scale local initiatives into broader policy solutions.
Through case studies, interactive discussions, and practical exercises, participants will gain the confidence and tools needed to lead policy initiatives, influence public discourse, and create sustainable policy improvements within communities, organisations, and government systems.
